Do UFOs exist?

For many years the controversial question regarding whether UFOs exist or not have been filling the minds of many people. Over time people have claimed to have witnessed UFOs in various different places across the world. Investigators have been trying to prove, what are UFOs? But people have chosen to believe that they are fantasies or science fiction, but with continued research on them everyone will see that they are scientific facts. Yes, from certain scientific viewpoints there is a lack of evidence or knowledge regarding UFOs but human accounts and footage prove they are real. Continuing research on UFOs is crucial because without the proper amount of knowledge regarding them, we are not aware of where they come from or what they are capable of. Researching further and proving that UFOs really do exist will expand our knowledge on the subject, and can prevent any harmful mishaps with these aircrafts in the future.
There are different theories contemplating the nature or origin of UFOs but there is one thing everyone can agree on, they are unidentified flying objects; these are believed to be from extraterrestrial places and often in control by aliens. A UFO is any object that is not easily recognized in the sky as a bird, plane, superman, or any other known flying aircraft.

Controversy about UFOs rises from the lack of knowledge we have regarding them. People question what they actually are, where they come from, why they are here, and if sightings of them are accurate or mistakes. Attitudes about UFOs vary, where some people believe that these objects have a perfectly logical scientific explanation and others have suggested that the origin of UFOs is paranormal of nature. One of the first sightings of a UFO was by Kenneth Arnold, a businessman and air rescue pilot, who claimed to see bright glistening objects flying at  extremely high speeds which were beyond the capabilities of any known aircraft during that time. After this it caught many peoples attention and over the next years to come thousands of other people reported seeing flying saucers in the skies and caught the attention of the media.
After the Cold War the military and government had become heavily involved in scientific research of UFOs. They spent a lot of time and money in their studies, Project Blue Book was part of a series of studies on UFOs conducted by the U.S. Air Force. This began around 1952 with the intentions of discovering whether UFOs were a threat to society and to analyze these unknown objects. Large projects directed by the military have gathered plenty of information which was sufficient enough to settle and conclude their research. They ended their research around 1969, but through those years they were able to collect many UFO reports.

Retired Army Colonel John Alexander obtained detailed research about unidentified flying objects and recently wrote a book regarding extraterrestrials, UFOs: Myths, Conspiracies and Realities. This describes the exploration of the government’s UFO secrets which only an insider like himself could access these credentials to discover the truth. He exposes the realities and truths by separating facts and credible witnesses from myths and conspiracy theorists. He discusses undeniable cases which confirm a UFO reality. In his book he explains that something is definitely here, but we have no continuing response to these mysteries at all. John Alexander is one of many former men of the military who have used their access to secret information to discover more about the reality of UFOs.

People try to argue that there is insufficient evidence to prove UFOs have visited our home but there have been sighting of UFOs for years in peoples backyards, over mountains, near the moon, and all around the world. After there has been a claim to someone witnessing a UFO an investigator goes through a process to determine if it is a hoax or not. Investigators study pictures or physical evidence that people send them and they process the information by examining the witness and the details from their stories and that of others and they examine any physical evidence they find by comparing it to things from the past or any effects near or around where the object was seen. Through serious investigations people come to a conclusion whether it was real or not.
Many individuals claim to have been abducted onto UFOs and many account for similar stories.

They often find themselves in a room filled with bright lights surrounded by unknown beings, aliens, who are interested in understanding humans. The J. Allen Hynek Center for UFO Studies explains that “after the abduction, the witness often remembers little, notices that a certain amount of time has passed without explanation, and exhibits physical or psychological symptoms indicating that something unusual has happened” (Bullard 1). These UFO sightings and abduction stories are irrefutable and prove that unidentified aircrafts exist.

  1. Like you said, UFOs are not easily recognized, so how do you know for sure that what was seen was a UFO? It has been said that other objects such as planes or blimps have been mistaken for UFOs over the years, what makes certain sightings different? There is no proof that these sightings are UFO’s because someone can mistake something as simple as a balloon for what they think is a UFO. Anything floating in the air can be mistaken for a UFO if there is the right lighting or even if someone has a strong belief in UFOs, they might be more likely to believe they are seeing a UFO.
Videos seem to be a nice piece of evidence to prove UFOs are real, but they are not always trustworthy. Someone could have easily just have animated a UFO in the video to make people believe they witnessed it. With all of the technology we have today, there are plenty of ways to make people believe a video of a UFO is real. Also, just because someone thinks they say a UFO, doesn’t mean it really is a UFO. A witness is not always a reliable source, even in something like a crime scene. Someone might have thought they saw something when they were mistaken, this also applies to witnesses to UFOs.
One major factor that makes UFOs an iffy topic is the fact that when people talk about their sightings, it’s never a clear view of the UFO. Normally when someone is sharing their sighting they talk about something they saw that was unclear or questionable. It is very rare to hear someone report a sighting that was clear and totally visible. This makes UFO’s much more questionable because they are not clearly seen. How do you know for sure that you have seen a UFO? In truth you are never really sure what you have seen, it’s more of what you believe it is instead of what it actually is, which creates a much more psychological view on this.
